Liepaja Business Incubator will host a Hackathon-Sprint for development of ideas for an e-tool

On 25-26 April Liepaja Business Incubator will host a Hackathon- Sprint for development of ideas for an e-tool with the aim of creating an ICT solution or application for young people to prevent various diseases.

BaltCityPrevention Project

The pilot projects of 6 countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Germany) addressing the lifestyle-related health problems among young people and planned actions to decrease this problem will be presented during the Hackathon. Based on the examples of the countries the teams will have 24 hours to develop an idea for an ICT solution or e-tool (for example, an application) that could be used to intervene in one of the problems presented.

Participants of the event will be introduced by the developers with existing ICT solutions for health promotion and disease prevention.

Teams of 2-3 people are invited to participate: companies, entrepreneurs, students.

All other interested in learning more about ICT solutions for health promotion, disease prevention and networking are welcome to attend the event on 26th April.

The winner will be determined by an international jury, the prize - 800 EUR for realizing creative ideas.

The Hackathon is organized as a part of Interreg BSR Project BaltCityPrevention (Baltic Cities tackle lifestyle related diseases – The development of an innovative model for prevention interventions targeting public health authorities in the Baltic Sea Region) ( The event is organized by Liepaja city municipality, SIA Telemedica, Liepaja Business Incubator and Riga Stradins University.
