The Baltic Region Healthy Cities Association based in Turku, Finland, aims at increasing awareness of the local governments to take health as a central part in the decision making process in the cities belonging to the WHO Healthy Cities Networks.
The department of health services provides and organises the basic healthcare services to the people of Seinäjoki. In addition to that, the department, in cooperation with the hospital district, takes care that the cooperation between basic healthcare services and specialized healthcare services works as well as possible.
